Booking your Newborn Session
HOUSTON NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER
Newborn photography takes a very specialized skill, I specialize in posed newborn photography, and safety is the first priority. The goal is for a safe and relaxed session, while capturing these new details that are so fleeting.
BOOKING
I take a very limited number of newborn sessions per month. To book your newborn session, your retainer and signed contracts will secure around your due date. When booking, I pencil in 3 dates around your due date on my calendar, and adjust as it gets close. Once baby arrives, we secure one of the dates for your session. I prefer babies to be 3-12 days old for their session. I recommend booking by your second trimester to make it easier on booking, and to guarantee a session with me

TIMELESS
As a mom of 6 kids, capturing the fleeting moments has been so very important to me. These are more than just a "cute picture", it is meant to capture those tiny details that are very specific fresh from the womb. When you look at the pictures, you can remember that newborn smell, the fine lanugo, the fine eyelashes. My goal is to give you more than just a "cute picture". My editing consists of smoothing the skin imperfections, brightening, adjusting discolored skin, removing acne, removing skin flakes.

STYLING
You are 100% involved in the styling of your precious memories. We talk background color, props, accent colors, wraps, bonnets, headbands, themes etc. Once you have booked, we get into all the details. Once you have secured a session with me, I send you a newborn prep guide to help you prepare for the session. I supply all props, bonnets, headbands, wraps, layers, furs; so there is no need for you to bring anything. If you have a special theme in mind, we can discuss the theme, and I may order custom props for your session, that are designed for newborn portraits. Outside props rarely work out, but we can discuss that when styling.

GALLERIES
You will receive an online proofing gallery link within 24 hours of your session. Proof images are unedited images with watermarks, that you select your images from. Once you let me know that you have finished selecting your images and your package is paid for, I will begin editing your images. I hand edit each and every image, retouching all acne, discoloration from jaundice, redness, etc. Your full gallery will be complete in 3 weeks on average.
